These Terms govern your use of the Maktab platform and mobile apps (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Maktab provides school-management tools and apps for schools, staff, parents and students, including admissions, attendance, fees and payments, exams, messaging, notices, calendars and diaries. Features may change over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Accounts for parents and staff are provisioned in connection with a school that uses Maktab. You must provide accurate information and be authorised to use the account.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for lawful, legitimate school-related purposes.
- Do not attempt to access data belonging to other families or schools.
- Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to breach the Service.
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
4. Fees & payments
Where online fee payment is enabled, payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (Safepay). Fees, amounts and payment terms are set by your school. Maktab is not responsible for the underlying fee obligations between you and your school.
5. Content & data
Student and school records are owned and controlled by the school. You retain rights to content you submit (such as messages or uploaded receipts) and grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability & disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maktab shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via maktab.pk/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
